Dermal Fillers

At Dr. Sabba hyaluronic acid fillers from the Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Vycross range are used exclusively.

How do dermal filler work?

Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a sugar molecule which naturally occurs in our bodies. Over time we produce less of this. Injecting filler into the face can be used to re-volumise and sculpt the facial features.

How long do they last?

This depends on the type of filler used. The fillers from the Juvederm Ultra range last around 6 months. The newer premium range of Juvederm fillers, known as Vycross last 12-18 months but can in certain areas last up to 24 months.

Is it painful?

Overall most treatments are tolerated very well without significant pain.

Local anaesthetic cream is applied prior to any treatment. The filler also contains a local anaesthetic which is very effective at controlling any discomfort. The importance of good injection technique must also be taken into consideration as injecting gently also contributes significantly in minimising any discomfort.

What is the cost?

This depends on the area being treated, type of dermal filler and quantity of product used.

You will be given a full break down of costs and at your appointment. See individual treatment sections for cost for 1ml of filler.
